Abstract:
When power system is faced with different disturbances,DFIG adopting traditional VIC is unable to utilize its rotor kinetic energy to participate in frequency regulation in sufficient,an improved VIC strategy of DFIG is proposed. The control gain in existing traditional virtual inertia control method for wind turbines is improved by establishing coupling relationship between the control gain and frequency deviation,so that DFIG can adjust output power in real time according to the system frequency deviation,slow down the frequency drop and increase the frequency nadir. The power system model with high wind power penetration,which is modeled by using EMTP-RV,is employed to verify the effectiveness of improved VIC method. The simulation results show that the improved VIC method could effectively improve the frequency stability under different disturbances,and the improvement becomes more obvious with the increase of disturbances.
