Abstract:
Due to the non-linear characteristics of static frequency converter(SFC)switching process,a large number of harmonics are generated during SFC starting in pumped storage power plants, which affect the power quality of power grid inside and outside the power plant. SFC starting control strategy based linear active disturbance rejection control(LADRC)is proposed to suppress the noncharacteristics harmonic of SFC grid-side current. Combined with passive filters to manage the characteristics harmonics of the SFC grid-side current, the grid-side current harmonic distortion rate of the SFC starting process is in line with the national standard. Based on the actual parameters of a pumped storage power plant,a Matlab/Simulink simulation model of traditional SFC starting and LADRCbased SFC starting is established. The feasibility of the proposed control strategy and the effectiveness of the suppression of noncharacteristics harmonic currents are verified by combining with the field test results.
