The conductor rods of high-voltage bushings in large transformers are subjected to various mechanical stresses during long-term operation
which can lead to faults such as deformation and fracture of the conductive rods. Therefore
it is of great significance to systematically evaluate the mechanical structural reliability of the conductor rods of transformer bushings. This paper comprehensively employs methods such as theoretical calculation
simulation
and test detection to conduct the mechanical structural reliability assessment of bushing conductor rods.Combined with the fracture fault of a bushing conductor rod of a certain 750 kV transformer
it is clarified that the fracture cause of the bushing conductor rod is the design defect of the current-carrying connection component. Finally
suggestions for improving the structural reliability of high-voltage bushing conductor rods are proposed.
