To remove the burrs that occurred in skeleton extraction

Through the feature extraction

the conditions of eliminating burrs were set

and then sixteen structuring elements were designed according to the three principles－the similarity of shape

the covering of size and the composition of the different structuring elements

combined with the method of thinning by using structuring elements to remove the burrs absolutely. Lastly

these fiber segments were connected after the burrs were removed at the breakpoint according to the labels. The results show that this method can effectively solve the problems which are to eliminate the body and the end of skeleton because of wrong judgment

making as much of the main information about skeleton as possible retain

This method has certain feasibility and practicability.
