A novel delay-dependent robust control H_∞design method is proposed for load frequency control(LFC)in power systems
aimed at enhancing system robustness and improving tolerance to network-induced delays.Firstly
a PI-type LFC control strategy is employed to establish an LFC model for multi-area power systems that incorporates renewable energy integration while considering time delays. Secondly
using an augmented Lyapunov-Krasovskii(L-K) functional and free matrix inequality estimation techniques
we formulate delay-dependent robust H_∞ stability and stabilization conditions for power system LFC.Finally
the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method are verified through case studies of onearea and three-area LFC systems with renewable energy integration.
