and other medium- and short-term storage systems as independent entities to participate in grid frequency regulation can effectively reduce the frequent load adjustment demands of thermal power plants and increase the flexibility of frequency regulation. Currently
there is a lack of reasonable planning methods for the power and capacity of independent energy storage stations participating in secondary frequency regulation ancillary services. This paper determines the output curves of all grid-connected entities by using day-ahead scheduling plans and intra-day rolling optimization
thereby establishing the benchmark operating point for frequency regulation resources. This paper then constructs a multi-objective function that includes frequency stability and economic indicators of the power grid
establishes a regional power grid secondary frequency regulation model with energy storage participation
obtain real-time frequency regulation demand of the power grid
and determines the optimal capacity planning of independent energy storage power stations under different levels of participation. Finally
through case models on multiple time scales
the proposed strategy is verified to achieve the economic and security benefits of independent energy storage stations assisting with grid secondary frequency regulation.
