Thermal power units have implemented a series of transformation under the goals of “carbon neutrality and carbon peaking”. These transformation measures include: various measures for energy conservation and consumption reduction
the transformation of large flow heat supply and industrial steam extraction
flexible operation for thermal power units
and the adoption of AC series compensation and UHVDC transmission technology for long-distance transmission. With the implementation of these measures
the safety and reliability problems of steam turbine and auxiliary equipment become increasingly prominent. Based on the field cases and experiences
this paper systematically summarizes the mechanism and characteristics of typical faults
such as the shafting vibration of main and auxiliary equipment
rotor cracks and rotating parts fall off
vibration and corrosion of long turbine blades
stuck and vibration of steam inlet valve
and so on. Moreover
corresponding countermeasures are given to provide technical support for the safe and stable operation of thermal power units under the current situation.
