A new multi-generation system based on liquefied natural gas(LNG) cold energy utilization is proposed
which includes high-temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cell
transcritical organic Rankine cycle and liquefied natural gas cold energy utilization subsystem. The mathematical model of the new multi-generation system is established
and the influence of parameter variation on system performance is investigated. The calculation shows that
under the design condition
the power generation efficiency of the high-temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cell system and the transcritical organic Rankine cycle system are 31.51% and 23.45%
respectively. The total energy utilization efficiency of the new multi-generation system is 40.75%
and the exergy efficiency is 31.93%. The component with the maximal exergy loss(52.8%) is the high-temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cell. The combined efficiency and the exergy efficiency of the multi-generation system increases with the working temperature of the high-temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cell
but decreases with the increase of hydrogen mass flow rate and transcritical organic Rankine cycle low pressure.
