With the continuous expansion of renewable energy's integration to power grid
conventional thermal power units are gradually replaced by renewable energy power units
resulting in poor frequency characteristics of power system against load disturbance under the condition of high-penetration new energy. Focusing on the frequency stability of power system peak-shaving operation under large-scale wind power grid connection
this paper draws a conclusion that the frequency regulation ability of the system is weak during start-stop peak shaving and deep peak shaving. To solve this problem
firstly
the conventional AGC system frequency model is improved
and the frequency response model considering renewable energy permeability
governor deadband and generation rate constraints is proposed. Then
based on the frequency response model
the frequency regulation performance of the system during peak-shaving at different wind power permeabilities is studied. Finally
based on two typical peak-shaving modes of thermal power units
the simulation is carried out within the two-area power system considering the fluctuation of wind power. The simulation results show that
the ability of power system to resist load disturbance in deep peak-shaving is stronger than that in start-stop peak-shaving. On this basis
combined with the improved fan integrated inertia control strategy
the frequency regulation performance of power grid peakshaving operation is effectively improved
and the problem of frequency stability of power system peak-shaving operation is solved.
