To scientifically and reasonablely distribute wind farm frequency regulation power and reduce load reduction frequency regulation abandoned wind volume
wind turbines(WTs) are divided into three types: no frequency modulation(FM)
down-power FM
and up-power FM
according to the operating status of WTs. On this basis
combining with the system modulation power(down power or up power) requirements
the corresponding WTs frequency regulation is selected to avoid all WTs participating in frequency regulation at the same time
thus to reduce the frequency of WTs frequency regulation and prolong the unit life. Secondly
according to the operating status and limit of WTs
the load shedding constraint model of WTs is constructed to define its frequency regulation capability
so as to realize the dual purpose of optimal allocation of WTs frequency regulation power and optimal utilization of wind curtailment capacity
which can effectively solve the problems caused by average allocation
make WTs quit frequency regulation orderly by defining the risk index of WTs quitting frequency regulation
and avoid the system frequency drop twice problem. The simulation results show that
considering the difference of WTs frequency regulation capability under different operating states to optimize the allocation of frequency regulation power can improve the frequency regulation capability and utilization rate of wind abandoning.
