The installation of large particle ash interceptor in flue duct in front of the SCR denitrification system can intercept large ash particles with diameter above millimeter level
which can effectively prevent the clogging of catalyst in denification device. A cold state physical model experimental apparatus was built up to experimentally investigate the effects of installation mode of intercptor
net hole type
flue duct structure and flue gas velocity on pressure drop and particle interception efficiency of the interceptor. The results show that
under the condition of similar interception efficiency
the pressure drop of the interceptor with long bar mesh is lower than that of the one with square and hexagonal mesh
and the pressure drop decreases further with the length-width ratio. Extending the folding angle length above the ash bucket can further improve the interception efficiency of large particle ash. Moreover
increasing the flow rate and decreasing the particle size both lead to a lower interception efficiency. The angle of installation and the height of the interceptor are two key factors affecting the performance of an interceptor. An interception efficiency higher than 95% and a pressure drop lower than 150 Pa can be realized by reasonably selecting these two parameters.
