Configuring governor side power system stabilizer(GPSS) on turbine side is an effective method to suppress low-frequency oscillation of power grid. Most of the existing studies put forward GPSS optimization strategy based on a single damping index
without considering the effect of the coupling between GPSS and the inherent parameters of the speed regulating system on the primary frequency regulation performance of the unit. The state variables strongly related to low-frequency oscillations are selected to construct dynamic stability index by considering the output error of state variables and the final steady-state error. The weighted sum of the time response difference of the step disturbance primary frequency modulation rising curve before and after GPSS installation is used as the primary frequency regulation characteristic index. Different from integrating the multitarget by artificial empowerment for single objective optimization of subjectivity
the NSGA-Ⅱ algorithm based on non-dominated ordering idea is used to balance the damping index and frequency modulation characteristic index with game relationship
and the compatible solution method based on ideal equilibrium point is used to select the best compatible solution from Pareto solution set. The cooling time of unit oscillation curve is shortened by 4.936s and make the comprehensive performance of the system more reasonable.
