The content of chlorine in desulfurization wastewater of coal-fired power plants is very high
which is highly corrosive to equipment. The external drainage has a large negative impact on the water environment. Therefore
the problem of chlorine ion treatment in desulfurization wastewater has always been the core difficulty and focus of zero emission of desulfurization wastewater. In this paper
the related policies of zero discharge of desulfurized wastewater and the water quality characteristics of desulfurized wastewater are introduced. Three zeroemission processes including salt-separation technology
bypass flue evaporation treatment and electrolytic chlorine preparation of disinfectant are introduced
and their advantages and disadvantages are summarized. To effectively utilize the valuable components in the desulfurization wastewater
a new process for preparing water purifying agents using the salt in the high-concentration desulfurization wastewater is proposed
which is expected to realize the resource utilization of chlorine in high brine.
