By taking the flexible rotor system supported by sliding bearing as the research object
the self-excited vibration of the sliding bearing-rotor system when the real unit rotates at high speed is numerically simulated. The single-disk rotor model is established through finite element method
and the nonlinear oil film force is calculated by short bearing oil film force model. The active electromagnetic control is based on closed-loop control strategy
the equivalent stiffness and damping are obtained by PID controller parameters. The fourth-order Runge-Kutta method is used to solve the rotor system dynamics model. The active electromagnetic control is applied to the rotor to suppress the self-excited vibration. The vibration situation at the bearing when using active electromagnetic control and not using active electromagnetic control during the rotor speeding up process is compared. The simulation results show that
without active electromagnetic control
the self-excited vibration occurs when the speed reaches approximately twice of the first-order critical speed. The implement of active electromagnetic control not only reduces the vibration amplitude at natural frequency
but also can effectively suppress the self-excited vibration.
