In order to solve the problem of bias flow in wet flue gas desulfurization(FGD) tower
the deflectors were installed in the tower to reorganize the gas-phase flow and improve the distribution uniformity of liquid-togas ratio. The Euler-Lagrange method was applied to describe the gas-liquid two-phase flow inside the tower
and the two-film theory was employed to simplify the SO_2 absorption process and establish the mas transfer model. The numerical model for multiphase flow and mass transfer in guide plate spraying tower was established. Moreover
taking the wet FGD system of a 660 MW unit coal-fired power unit as an example
four various kinds of deflectors were designed. The calculation results show that
compared with the original spraying tower
the desulfurization efficiency of the tower equipped with four deflectors improves dramatically
the desulfurization efficiency incrased from 82.2% to 87.1%
and the pressure drop of the system remains unchanged basically.
