Seismic performance of nuclear power equipment is one of the important indexes measuring its safety and reliability analysis system. In this paper
the seismic performance of a wedge-shaped double-gate for nuclear power plant is analyzed. First of all
the seismic analysis method
namely the equivalent static method
is determined by analyzing the basic frequency of the valve based on ANSYS platform. Secondly
based on the adopted method
the stress analysis of the valve under working condition load
seismic load and its own gravity is carried out
and the equal stress and deformation are obtained. In this process
in order to reduce the superposition error caused by the simple load reaction
the method of taking the comprehensive square root of the vibration modes in all directions is adopted. Finally
according to the ASME stress evaluation code for pressure vessels
the valve components are evaluated along the path of the danger point. The results show that
the stress distribution in the three defined danger paths does not exceed the limit value of the stress that the valve can withstand
which means that the designed method conforms to the design specification and can meet the requirements of working conditions. The analysis results provide a reference for seismic analysis and further structural optimization design of this kind of nuclear first class valves in power stations.
