On the basis of analyzing technical risk of chemical cleaning of the secondary circuit in high temperature gas-cooled reactors using catalytic citric acid
the feasibility of the chemical cleaning of the secondary circuit in high temperature gas-cooled reactors using citric acid is researched. In view of various grades of steel used in the secondary circuit in high temperature gas-cooled reactors
the inhibitors system are selected. The influence of Fe~(3+) on corrosion of typical materials is discussed
and the galvanic corrosion of carbon steel near the valve sealing surface is analyzed. The results indicate that
the compound inhibitors can effectively control the corrosion rates of typical materials. The low grade steels are sensitive to Fe~(3+) in catalytic citric acid solution. The corrosion rate of carbon steel near the valve sealing surface could satisfy the requirement of Practice Evaluation and Testing Method of Inhibitors for Chemical Cleaning(DL/T 523—2017).
