Biomass is an indispensable renewable energy in the future. However
due to relatively high nitrogen content in biomass
a large amount of nitrogen oxides are generated during the combustion process
which cause the environmental pollution. Through analysis on the mechanism of NOx formation and engineering practice
it is found that
during biomass combustion in boilers
the formation and removal process of NOx is greatly influenced by fuel type
combustion temperature and excess air coefficient. The non-catalytic reduction technology is a kind of denitrification technology suitable for biomass boiler
and the type of reducing agent
injection point and injection mode are the key factors affecting denitrification efficiency. By controlling the key point of the denitrification technology
the non-catalytic reduction method can achieve higher efficiency during the denitrification process in biomass boilers. However
to achieve a stable denitrification efficiency
it is necessary to have a good operational control of the boiler.
