EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON SELECTIVE ADSORPTION BY ACTIVATED CARBON FOR SO2 AND NO EN THE FLUE GAS[J]. Thermal power generation, 2003, (12): 53-56. DOI: 10.19666/j.rlfd.2003.12.019.
Experimental study on eliminating SO 2 and NO in the flue gas by using activated carbon has been systematically carried out
including particle size of the activated carbon
its activated methods
concentration of NO in the flue gas
as well as the influence of soaking the activated carbon in HNO 3 upon the adsorption ability of activated carbon for SO 2 and NO in the flue gas
etc.. The results of experimental study show
(1) the adsorption of activated carbon for SO 2 and NO in the flue gas has certain selectivity; (2) the NO ab sorbed physically being substituted and desorbed
the NO absorbed chemically can promote the adsorption ability of activated carbon for SO 2; (3) the smaller the particle size and the larger the specific surface area of activated carbon are
the longer the tune required to penetrate the bed layer; (4) under the test condition
the desulphuation efficiency of activated carbon reaches 99%; (5) the activated carbon soaked in HNO 3 with suitable concentration can enhance the ability of activated carbon to absorb SO 2.
