Being tested on a biomass fluidized bed

rice husk is taken as a fuel to study some of the fundamental characteristics

such as pneumatic transportation

fluidization and combusion.Design essentials of the rice husk fired fluidized bed boiler are introduced.Test results show that pneumatic transportation is not only convenient

but also very stable and capable for large transport.The rice husk fired fluidiaed bed boiler can have a very successful operation when silicon sand of 0.52 mm is selected as the bed material.Significant combustion occurs in the zone of dilute phase

with a very high combustion efficiency（up to 97%）and very low emission of NO X and SO X.
