Load-side regulation has been one of the most attractive approaches to coping with fluctuations in renewable energy. Power systems can cooperatively regulate the active and reactive power of voltage-sensitive loads (VSLs) by changing the node voltage amplitude. However
an unreasonable load regulation range and insufficient utilization of voltage/var control resources in the transmission network deteriorate the rapid response and validity of the control system. To address these challenges
a robust real-time economic dispatch method for transmission and distribution coordinated systems is designed
which can fully utilize the regulation potential of transmission networks
thus achieving optimal economic benefits. First
a robust voltage control model is established based on sensitivity analysis to assess the VSL regulation range
and the corresponding voltage stability margin (VSM) index is introduced to guarantee long-term voltage stability. Next
the continuous locational marginal price (CLMP) is adopted to describe the load electricity cost
and then the real-time dispatch problem is studied with the objective of obtaining the maximum total revenue. Finally
in numerical simulations
a modified IEEE RTS-79 system is designed to verify both the computational efficiency and economic benefits of the proposed method.
