The growing adoption of high-voltage transmission technology in China has led to an increase in the construction of converter stations. Consequently
ensuring the smooth operation of power grid has become the focus of attention. The auxiliary power system serves as the power supply support for the entire station and is the foundation for the normal operation of converter station equipment. At present
the auxiliary power system is still adjusted and calculated by the operation and maintenance personnel of converter station
which has problems such as large calculation load
inaccurate calculation
extremely low repetition frequency and increased work costs. Aiming at these problems
a software for relay protection setting of converter station is developed by analyzing the structure of auxiliary power system and the protection value calculation method of auxiliary power. The proposed software can quickly and accurately calculate the protection value
reduce the risk of manual calculation errors
and ensure the safe and stable operation of converter station.
