In order to reveal the mineral carbonation reaction mechanism of basalt
the dissolution and leaching characteristics of calcium and magnesium in basalt under acid solvent conditions were analyzed from the perspective of thermodynamics. The effects of temperature
pressure
acid concentration
liquid-solid ratio and different acid conditions on the dissolution and leaching of calcium and magnesium in basalt to form free calcium and magnesium ions were investigated in details. The results show that temperature and pressure have little effect on the dissolution and leaching of calcium and magnesium in anorthite and forsterite in basalt. Acid concentration and liquid-solid ratio have different effects on the dissolution and leaching characteristics of calcium in anorthite and magnesium in forsterite under different acid conditions. Overall
hydrochloric acid has the best effect on dissolution and leaching of calcium in anorthite
while sulfuric acid has the best effect on dissolution and leaching of magnesium in forsterite.
