The temperature control directly affects the production of the steelmaking process
and the consumption of materials and energy. Due to the high tapping temperature in the steelmaking process of Fangda Special Steel
the influences of the converter operation level
alloy baking temperature
tapping time
production organization
ladle insulation effective
continuous casting speed on the tapping temperature were studied in the paper. The production practice results showed that the tapping temperature decreased by 5-8 ℃ with expanding the inner diameter of the tapping hole from 150 mm to 165-170 mm. When the alloy baking was heated above 400 ℃
the tapping temperature reduced by 4-6 ℃. In the case of the turnover of ladle decreased from 13 to 11
the tapping temperature decreased by 6-10 ℃. The magnesia carbon brick ladle was replaced by the castable ladle
which can reduce the tapping temperature by 5-10 ℃. With the boot ratio of the three casting machines increased from 20% to 60.24%
the tapping temperature can be reduced by 6-10 ℃. By the integration of the above measures
the tapping temperature was reduced from 1 685.01 ℃ to 1 635.1 ℃
which significantly improved operating efficiency and saved economic costs.
