Fuel cells represent an attractive technology for tomorrow’s energy vector because hydrogen is an efficient fuel and environmentally clean
but one of the important challenges for fuel cell commercialization is the preparation of active
robust and low-cost catalysts. The synthesis and processing of Pd Fe/C catalysts
as described in this report
serves as an intriguing way to address this challenge. The Pd Fe/C is characterized by an array of analytical techniques including transmission electron microscopy
X-ray diffraction. The electrochemical tests(cyclic voltammerty(CV)) showed that the activity of Pd Fe/C(n(Pd):n(Fe)=2:1) is about 6.6 times of Pd/C for formic acid electrooxidation.
