RONG Desheng, TANG Wenguang, SUN Xuanjin, et al. High-gain quasi-Z-source DC-DC converter with integrated Y-source coupled inductor[J]. 2026, 30(5): 189-198.
To address the issue of limited boost capability in DC-DC converters of renewable energy generation systems
a novel high-gain quasi-Z-source converter integrating a Y-source coupled inductor and a switched capacitor unit was proposed. In this converter
the switched capacitor and the Y-source coupled inductor were integrated into a composite boost unit
which significantly enhanced the voltage gain; a dual-capacitor series voltage-dividing structure was adopted at the output to reduce the voltage stress
and a passive clamping circuit was employed to absorb leakage inductance energy
effectively suppressing voltage spikes of the switch tube and maintaining low voltage stress on it throughout operation. The operating principle
steady-state performance
and efficiency loss of the converter were analyzed in detail
and a performance comparison was conducted. Results show that the converter features continuous input current and input-output common ground characteristics under a wide input range
and the voltage gain can be achieved by adjusting the turns ratio of the Y-source coupled inductor at a low duty cycles. All diodes achieve zero current switching
alleviating reverse recovery during switching transients
thereby enhancing the overall system operational stability. Finally
a 400 W experimental prototype was built to verify correctness of the converter.
