Reliable power supply and high-speed data exchange for maglev vehicle gap sensors are critical to ensuring stable vehicle levitation. To address the challenge of wired connections failing under harsh conditions such as vibration and corrosion
an orthogonal multi-carrier based simultaneous wireless power and data transmission method for maglev vehicle gap sensors was proposed. An orthogonal reference was introduced by setting a fundamental frequency substantially higher than that of the power carrier in this method. Parallel transmission of multi-channel data over a single coil-coupled channel was achieved based on orthogonal multi-carrier modulation technology. The bottleneck of data rate limitation imposed by the power carrier frequency in traditional shared channels was effectively overcome. The high-speed communication requirements of gap sensors for reporting multi-dimensional status information were met by the proposed method. A bilateral LCC resonant network was employed in power transmission to ensure load-independent constant current output for sensors. A dual LC resonant network was utilized in data transmission to transmit two signals via a single transformer
enhancing channel utilization. A 40 W prototype was constructed
four-channel full-duplex communication for the gap sensor in the maglev vehicle was achieved with a rate of 1 020 kbps per channel
and a new approach for high-reliability wireless sensing systems was provided.
