Traditional tripping escalation in 10 kV distribution networks
which expands the outage range
occurs from time to time
affecting customer power supply reliability and reducing the user experience. Based on the existing configuration of 10 kV distribution automation switches
this paper optimizes the protection grading settings of automated switches to achieve proper time coordination
enabling rapid fault localization and isolation. Combined with practical engineering cases
it verifies the actual effect of graded protection in reducing customer outage hours
