The tower foundations of ultra-high voltage(UHV) transmission lines in mountainous areas are often built on natural slopes
and the stability of these slopes directly affects the safety of the tower foundations. However
the factors affecting slope stability are complex and diverse. Therefore
conducting a sensitivity analysis of the factors affecting slope stability is of great engineering significance. This paper takes the tower foundation slopes along a certain section of the Zhejiang UHV AC loop network project as the research object
selects six influencing factors including slope height
slope angle
thickness of the overburden layer
unit weight
cohesion
and internal friction angle
and designs25 sets of orthogonal experiments.Using GeoStudio numerical analysis software and the limit equilibrium method
the stability safety factors of each set of multi-factor interactive slope models are calculated. The results of the orthogonal experiments are studied by combining range and variance analysis. The analysis shows that the slope angle and thickness of the overburden layer have a highly significant impact on the stability of the tower foundation slopes and are the main controlling factors. The sensitivity ranking of the influencing factors is as follows:thickness of the overburden layer>slope angle > internal friction angle > cohesion > slope height > unit weight.Compared to the physical and mechanical properties of rock and soil
the geometric shape of the slope has a greater impact on slope stability.Controlling the slope angle and thickness of the overburden layer is key to slope stability design. The research results can provide theoretical references for slope design and geological disaster prevention in transmission line projects.
