karst hazards exert a significant impact on engineering construction and constitute a key research focus during the engineering investigation stage.Conventional methods including drilling
engineering mapping and hydrogeological surveys enable macroscopic assessment of complex karst development.Downhole techniques such as digital panoramic borehole imaging
and 3D laser (sonar) detection characterize karst features in multi-dimensional forms through visualization
profiling and three-dimensional modeling
and provide detailed karst development parameters. These outcomes offer solid technical support for subsequent engineering design and construction.Relevant engineering cases are elaborated and analyzed in detail in this paper.
