New energy storage could promote the renewable energy consumption and was an important part of the novel power system. This paper used time series production simulation technology and took a provincial power grid in the east as an example to evaluate the new energy consumption level of the power grid and the role played by new energy storage. Through the control variable method
the quantitative influence of parameters such as energy storage scale and energy storage duration on optimizing new energy consumption was analyzed. Subsequently
the renewable energy consumption level of the power grid under sensitive scenarios with large scale of new energy was evaluated
and corresponding optimization measures were proposed. The research results provided reference for the subsequent development planning of energy storage and the optimal configuration of system energy storage scale.
