Driven by the multi-dimensional evolution of generation
grid and load
the morphology of urban power grids is experiencing radical changes and unprecedented challenges. Therefore
it is urgent to investigate the underlying evolutionary mechanism and to design a rational development roadmap. First
the current morphology of urban power grids and the challenges faced are analyzed. Second
existing literature is reviewed from three perspectives
namely
morphological analysis
urban distribution power grid improvement
and urban transmission power grid improvement. Specifically
the section on morphological analysis covers statistical-characteristic analysis
weak-link identification
and evolutionary-trend analysis. Urban distribution power grid improvement methods are discussed in terms of network-structure reinforcement
integration of new elements
and adoption of novel power-supply modes. Urban transmission power grid improvement approaches are summarized from both theoretical foundations and relevant engineering practices. Finally
this paper put forward prospects in the future development direction of power-grid morphology from the perspectives of theoretical methods and technologies
aiming to provide a reference for follow-up research on urban power-grid morphology.
