To addresses the issue of loss imbalance in all-silicon carbide (SiC) device-based single-phase active neutral-point clamped three-level (ANPC-3L) inverter
we propose a modulation method for loss balancing and efficiency optimization based on soft-switching transition. Although the traditional two zero-level clamped loop conducting (TZCC) method effectively reduces conduction losses
its fixed allocation pattern of switching losses restricts further improvement in loss balancing performance. Based upon the TZCC method
this study introduces a sector division strategy based on voltage-current phase relationships. By dynamically reconstructing the driving sequence
switching losses are actively transferred from high-loss devices to low-loss devices
thereby achieving the goal of loss balancing. Simulation and experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method can be used to effectively improve the system loss distribution across a wide power range and under varying power factor conditions
fully leveraging the performance advantages of the all-SiC ANPC-3L circuit.
