Due to the multi-umbrella structure and high depth of hybrid porcelain post insulators
the surface silicone rubber injection is more difficult compared to that of line insulators. To obtain the optimal injection process for 35 kV hybrid porcelain post insulators
the curing and rheological properties of the improved silicone rubber were measured experimentally
and a simulation model of the silicone rubber injection process on the surface of the insulator was established on the basis of these properties. The test results show that the improved silicone rubber has a longer scorch time and better fluidity
making it more suitable for the injection process of hybrid porcelain post insulators. Through orthogonal experimental design simulation
the optimal combination of mold temperature
rubber temperature
injection speed
holding pressure and holding time for minimizing the clamping force and volume shrinkage rate during the injection process was obtained. The results show that the best injection process can be achieved when the mold temperature is 140 ℃
the rubber temperature is 55 ℃
the injection speed is 30 mL/s
the holding time is 10 s
and the holding pressure is 110% of the injection pressure; meanwhile
the maximum clamping force and volume shrinkage rate are 178.9 kN and 1.205%
respectively. The research results can provide guidance for the injection process of hybrid porcelain post insulators.
