When traditional nuclear power plants operate for peak shaving
they are influenced by the load tracking mode and safety constraints
leading to relatively poor flexibility and economic efficiency. In contrast
an SMR (small modular reactor) has advantages such as being clean
low-carbon
highly efficient
reliable
and has a strong load tracking ability. Moreover
SMR can provide a high temperature energy source for hydrogen production. However
the research on the coordinated dispatching of SMR-hydrogen cogeneration participating in power grid peak regulation is still blank. In order to solve the above problems
based on the heat distribution and control strategy of SMR-hydrogen cogeneration system
the reverse hydrogen coupling characteristics of nuclear cogeneration unit (NCP) are analyzed. Utilizing the operation characteristics of SMR co-supply of electricity and hydrogen to participate in peak regulation
in order to minimize the total cost of unit joint operation as the optimization goal
and comprehensively considering the cost of SMR peak regulation
the cost of abandoning wind and light and the constraints of conventional units
we constructed a cooperative optimal dispatching model of wind
wind and hydrogen. Through the analysis of different SMR scheduling scenarios
the effectiveness of the model in improving the flexibility of peak regulation and the capacity of absorbing renewable energy is verified. Moreover
the proposed strategy enhances the load regulation flexibility and operational economy of the SMR unit while ensuring the safety of nuclear power load regulation and maintaining constant thermal output. By utilizing load tracking to direct excess heat to hydrogen production in the SMR-hydrogen cogeneration system
comprehensive operating costs can be effectively reduced by 12.05% and 14.51% respectively.
