The weekly fluctuations in renewable energy output
represented by wind and solar power
can lead to imbalances in power and energy within the power system on a multi-day scale
thereby necessitating greater demand for adjustable resources. Industrial loads
with their advantages such as large response capacity and high automation level
offer significant adjustment potential for ensuring the power system's multi-day power and energy balance. However
industrial loads feature hybrid discrete and continuous production processes
multiple time-series coupling in production
and multi-energy coupling. Additionally
production must adhere to the constraints of continuity and safety
making it challenging to integrate them directly into power system regulation. Taking short-process steel enterprises based on electric furnace steelmaking
with significant adjustment potential
as an example
this paper proposes a multi-day unit commitment optimization method that considers the temporal coupling of production processes in steel enterprises. This method aims to explore the potential of industrial load regulation and extend it to other loads. Initially
the production process
energy consumption characteristics
and adjustment features of short process steel enterprises are introduced. Based on the complex characteristics of steel production processes
a model for adjusting steel production is established. Subsequently
considering the actual demands of the power system
an optimization model is formulated for steel loads participating in the multi-day unit commitment of the power system
which determines the optimal unit output arrangement and production plan for steel enterprises. Finally
through a typical example
it is verified that the proposed method can not only ensure the continuous production of steel but also provide additional adjustment capacity for the power system
