the energy storage doubly-fed condenser (ESDFC) has attracted wide attention due to its advantage of using rotor kinetic energy to achieve inertia support. However
the existing virtual inertia control methods have the problem that the rotor speed easily exceeds the limit
and the frequency stability and dynamic characteristics are challenging to balance. Therefore
this paper proposes an adaptive virtual inertia control strategy based on rotor speed regulation. Firstly
the topological structure and control principle of the energy storage type doubly-fed condenser are given
and the mechanism of inertia support is revealed from the angle of equivalent inertia constant. Then
considering the adjustment margin of the rotor speed and the disturbance inertia demand of the system
to realize the adaptive virtual inertia control
the function of rotor speed correction in relation to the frequency change rate and real-time rotor speed is constructed during the inertia support period. Meanwhile
the system frequency response model with ESDFC under the control strategy is established. The small disturbance stability of the system is analyzed through the root-locus method
and the selection principle of the control parameter is given. Finally
an example is given to verify the correctness of the theoretical analysis and the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy. The results show that the proposed control strategy can avoid rotor speed exceeding the limit and improve
