Single-phase adaptive reclosing technology is an important method for quickly restoring a wind farm-flexible HVDC transmission system after a trip. Considering the influence of the wind farm and Modular Multilevel Converter (MMC) converter control strategies
a composite sequence network model for the non-full phase operation of the sending-end system is established. The electrical characteristics of the wind power-flexible HVDC transmission system are compared to those of traditional AC systems. By combining the AC line voltage recovery coupling circuit
the adaptability of traditional voltage magnitude and phase criteria in the AC interconnection line of the wind power-flexible HVDC transmission system is analyzed. An adaptive voltage magnitude and phase joint criterion suitable for the wind power-flexible HVDC interconnection line is proposed. The criterion selects and adaptively tunes the voltage magnitude and phase based on real-time measurements of the healthy-phase voltage and current
calculating the tripped-phase capacitive coupling voltage and mutual inductance voltage. Simulation results verify that the criterion can accurately identify the fault nature of the AC interconnection line in the wind power-flexible HVDC transmission system under different fault locations and transition resistances.
