Under conditions where network parameters result in harmonic resonance
the negative damping in the converter control system is prone to destabilize the offshore wind power grid-connection system. This paper considers the complete transmission components to explore the mechanisms behind the negative damping in the converter control system and the harmonic resonance in the network
revealing the impact mechanisms of various subsystems on the overall system stability. Firstly
a high-frequency impedance model of the offshore wind farm is established
and its accuracy is verified. Subsequently
the system's resonance characteristics are analyzed hierarchically
examining the frequency and operational mechanisms of the control link expression
as well as the resonance points and damping characteristic variation patterns of various subsystems. Finally
the resonance instability mechanism is validated through electromagnetic transient simulation based on PSCAD/EMTDC. The conclusions drawn provide a basis for oscillation suppression in practical engineering applications.
