Inverter air conditioning is a high-quality regulation resource in the new power system
whose important flexible feature is the load control ability. Recently
power-directly- controlled inverter air conditioning has been commercialized and promoted in China
but there still exits a lack of fast and accurate methods to support large-scale directly grid-controlled inverter air conditioners to participate in future power system regulation. There is also a lack of scalable and secure implementation schemes. Therefore
this paper combines the adaptive power allocation strategy and decentralized low coupling architecture
and thus proposes a highly fault-tolerant collaborative regulation technology scheme for inverter air conditioning cluster. The scheme has a reliable convergence guarantee
not affected by a large number of individuals’ or the coordinator’s withdrawal/ addition. In real-time regulation
there is no power oscillation caused by collaborative interaction
and it can still exhibit high load tracking accuracy and robustness even when data is distorted
enabling it to gracefully cope with the risk of “physical fluctuations human attacks” in the real world. Suggestions for engineering implementation such as dead zone processing and availability improvement are also proposed and the core technology system is summarized. The superiority and practicability of the scheme are verified through case studies
which can provide a feasible regulation means for virtual power plant and load aggregator. It is expected to play a continuous and flexible support role on demand side in emergency situations such as extreme weather or power transmission line blockage from new energy bases.
