and difficulty in achieving wide range output voltage regulation in proton exchange membrane (PEM) water electrolysis hydrogen production technology
this paper proposes an innovative dual loop dynamic voltage regulation control strategy based on a hybrid topology of Vienna rectifier and four switch Buck Boost converter (Vienna-four switch Buck Boost
V-FSBB)
utilizing a two-stage circuit to achieve complementary advantages. By combining an improved variable index approaching law sliding mode control with a hierarchical finite control set model predictive control (H-FCS-MPC) algorithm
the fixed frequency modulation on the rectification side and the dynamic mode on the voltage regulation side are switched in coordination. The simulation results show that the proposed strategy achieves a current harmonic distortion rate as low as 1.3% during sudden load changes
controls the midpoint potential fluctuation within 0.2 V
and improves the dynamic response speed by more than 30%. When tracking the output voltage command signal
compared to traditional control schemes
the frequency of mode switching on the regulating side is reduced by 43.75%
and the effective range of output voltage is further expanded
significantly improving the dynamic performance and flexibility of the electrolytic water hydrogen production system.
