Aiming at the stator ground fault with the highest fault probability of large units
this paper proposes an accurate location method for stator winding ground fault of variable speed pumped storage units based on planetary optimization algorithm. Firstly
according to the analysis of the fault equivalent circuit
the fault location idea based on the intersection of phasor trajectory is proposed and the corresponding fault location optimization model is constructed. Furthermore
the planetary optimization algorithm is introduced to solve the positioning model. Combined with the distribution characteristics of winding potential
the reasons for the phenomenon of multiple solutions of fault location results are analyzed and summarized. By introducing the injection information or the third harmonic voltage information as the auxiliary information
the multi-solution screening of the positioning is realized
and the unique solution of the positioning is obtained. Finally
the effectiveness of the proposed positioning method is proved by simulation and experimental analysis.
