The new power system features a highly coupled cyber-physical system
with strong interactions between the primary and secondary systems and complex control mechanisms
which poses new challenges to system security. This paper analyzes and proposes the cyber-physical security characteristics
including physical security
functional security
and cyber security. It also addresses the challenges in risk cognition
monitoring
and protection of the cyber-physical security system
proposing key technologies such as the modeling and analysis of cyber-physical security threats across multi-domains
cyber-physical coordination-based security threat situational awareness and detection
and multi-spatial-temporal linkage response security protection methods. Based on the typical scenarios of power monitoring systems
this paper explores the prospects of cyber-physical security protection application in the new power system. The proposed cyber-physical security protection system can realize the quantitative characterization of cross-domain security risks and the multi-spatial-temporal collaborative perception
identification and resolution of security events
providing support for the safe operation of the new power system.
