WU Tianhao, XIE Xiaorong, HE Jingbo, et al. Synchronization Stability Issues of Grid-tied Converters With Saturation Nonlinearities[J]. 2025, 45(17): 6886-6896.
the synchronization stability issues caused by high-penetration of power electronic converters have received extensive attention from both academia and industry. Current research focuses on the impact of the phase-locked loop on synchronization stability
but pays little attention to the impact of control nonlinearities
such as limiting
saturation
and dead zone on synchronization instability. This paper investigates the impact of two typical control nonlinearities
namely the hard limiter and circular limiter
on the large-signal synchronization stability of grid-tied converters. First
the isomorphism and heteromorphism of synchronization equations with different kinds of limiters are analyzed. Then
the system's analytical oscillating solutions and large-signal stability boundaries are proposed based on the method of averaging. Finally
the impacts on the synchronization stability from various factors including operating conditions
control parameters
and limiter parameters
are quantitatively revealed via the proposed stability boundaries.
