In response to the issues of slow dynamic response and complex parameter tuning in current source inverter high-speed motor drive systems
this paper proposes a discrete virtual vector predictive current control strategy. In this strategy
a multitude of virtual vectors are synthesized using discrete space vector modulation technology on the AC side. The diversity of these vectors enhances control flexibility and precision
while their discontinuity ensures resistance to parameter disturbances. The selection process for the output current vector is optimized using a deadbeat technique
which reduces computational effort. This strategy not only maintains steady-state performance but also improves dynamic response. On the DC side
the bus current is controlled by predicting the required input voltage through a deadbeat technique
without relying on the assessment of the motor's operational status.
