为彻底解决电网换相换流器高压直流输电系统(line-commutated converter based high voltage direct current,LCC-HVDC)的换相失败问题,提出晶闸管器件型桥臂复用式新型换流器(thyristor-based arm multiplexing converter topology,TMC)。三相桥臂与复用桥臂之间通过阀组跨接电容和避雷器,构建输出电压可控、换相阻抗可调的辅助换流单元,通过电容完全补偿和避雷器能量转移为换流阀提供足够换相支撑。基于桥臂换相顺序提出分时段触发复用桥臂的换流阀预充电、正常换相和强迫关断协同控制策略。设计跨接电容和避雷器及复用桥臂的电气参数。在PSCAD/ EMTDC中搭建整流侧为LCC、逆变侧为TMC的直流输电系统(LCC-TMC HVDC),仿真研究单相和三相金属性接地故障下的系统暂态特性。结果表明,所提出的拓扑结构可以彻底抑制换相失败;同时,采用所设计的参数和协调控制策略,换流阀晶闸管及辅助换相元件电压/电流应力也均在设计允许范围内。
To eliminate commutation failure in line-commutated converter-based high voltage direct current (LCC-HVDC) systems
this paper proposes a thyristor-based arm multiplexing converter topology (TMC) designed to withstand commutation failure. The three-phase bridge arms and the multiplex bridge arm are connected with capacitors and lightning arresters through valves to construct an auxiliary commutation unit in which the output voltage is controllable and the commutation impedance is adjustable. Sufficient commutation support is provided for the converter valve through complete capacitance compensation and energy transfer of the arrester. Based on the commutation sequence of bridge arm
a cooperative control strategy of converter valve pre-charging
normal commutation and forced turn-off is proposed. The electrical parameters of straddle capacitance
lightning arrester and multiplexing bridge arm are designed. A direct current transmission system (LCC-TMC HVDC) with LCC on the rectifier side and TMC on the inverter side is built in PSCAD/EMTDC. The transient characteristics of the system under single-phase and three-phase metallic grounding short-circuit faults are studied. The results show that the proposed topology can eliminate commutation failure; at the same time
using the designed parameters and coordinated control strategy
the voltage/current stresses of the converter valve thyristor and auxiliary commutation components are also within the design allowable range.
