the analytic solution of temperature stress of shaft wall of coal mine is deduced. It is shown that when the temperature of inwall is higher than that of ectotheca of shaft wall
the temperature stresses and get maximal values at inwall and minimal values at ectotheca. Temperature stress will become larger with increases of elastic modulus E
Poisson’s ratio
coefficient of dilatation and depth of shaft wall z separately; while temperature stress will decrease with increase of temperature difference . It is also shown that the place of inwall of shaft wall will be broken earlier than ectotheca
which is validated by reality. In the factors which induced the failure of shaft wall
the weigh of temperature stress is larger than that of shaft wall dead weight. Therefore
temperature stress plays an important role in the failure of shaft wall.
