Through preparing different water contents dredged material (DM)
the influences of water content on the cement solidification effect of DM are studied. Test results show that the unconfined compressive strength of cement solidified DM decreases with increasing initial water content in power relation. With the increase of initial water content
the plasticity of cement solidified DM increases
failure strain increases and cohesion decreases. With the increase of initial water content
the quantity of cement hydration products per unit volume decreases
the whole strength is low. In practical engineering
it is better to reduce the initial water content for more economical benefit.
