High pressure groundwater environment becomes one of the key problems for tunnel construction under complicated hydro-geological conditions in China. The seepage field of surrounding rock is coupled with stress field. According to the failure course of surrounding rock

the coupling mode is divided into 2 types: deformation mode and failure mode. In the course of excavation

if ignoring the failure

the seepage-stress coupling mode includes fill compressed mode in filled crack

wall touching mode in crack without filling

time-depending mode and grout-filled mode. If considering failure

the seepage-stress coupling mode includes failure mode caused by excavation and failure mode under high water pressure. Different geological and hydro-geological conditions and different excavation courses will lead to different coupling courses

the establishment of coupling mode will provide concept model and support for design

construction and disaster prevention.
