As underground resources exploitation goes deeper and deeper
large deformation and failure of soft rock mass surrounding deep soft rock roadways
together with reasonable reinforcement techniques are main factors impacting safe and sustainable mining. Combined with results of indoor mechanical test on weak structural planes and soft rocks
damage criterion and damage evolution model of weak intercalated layers are established and applied to stability analysis of one deep soft rock roadway excavation of Huainan coalmine. Deformation characteristics
plastic zone of wall rock and failure zone of weak intercalated layers are studied; and reasonable reinforcement scheme is proposed. The achievements from the research can provide references to the design of supporting scheme of deep soft rock roadway.
